Twilight Zone marathon and champagne at midnight.
A woman couldn't ask for more. It was perfect.

today is a day to be thankful for a car that runs, even if I have to park off-street at Andee's (I love my driveway!)
Happy New Year's eve, everyone! This is the first time in years that I won't be taking an 8pm sleeping pill

going to see my sweetie in a little while - life is good
I've been using Facebook Status Update a few times a day instead of blogging. While it's a bit - a wee bit - faster (and how much instant gratification do i really need?) I will have no archive of my moods. I'm considering short updates on LJ, which will roll over to FB notes, so that I do have a history if I need to check a date, etc.
Thoughts?
In other words, my holiday was pretty damned OK. I think that Emily and Andee liked what I painstakingly chose for them over the past four months. (It was harder than buying generic gifts but far more gratifying!) I love what they got me, which is a bonus because I was just so into the choosing/giving part this year. I met Andee's mom, which didn't go as bad as I thought it would (pessimistic).
(Someplace, I still have the monogrammed tire gauge that I got from John, with matching keychain...)
My friends have mostly posted and, for the most part, have posted that they had a good holiday. Ricky (Bear) called me on Christmas day, wrapped as he was in his pink Snuggie, and that made me so happy. I'll probably call him one night this week after I have nights-and-weekend-minutes in place so that I can talk to him for an hour like I used to.
My mom and I saw my dad yesterday. I try to make it every week. He's in pretty good spirits, and he liked the Escher calendar that I got him for the holiday.
I'm using my old, snazzy cell phone with "only" half a gig (with photos, it will only hold one or two CDs worth of music) and which will NOT send or accept photos. Please don't send me attachments; I can't read them. I'm trying to replace the broken phone via eBay because it's been discontinued. I miss having an alarm for each of the three Lyrica I take (6am, 2pm, and 10pm - when I'm either sleeping or distracted)
Life is, for the most part, really good. I hope I don't crash again.
